Model Abbey Clancy has fox-trotted her way to being titled the Strictly Come Dancing 2013 champion.

Despite Susanna Reid being the hot favourite to win, with bookmakers placing odds of 5-4 on the BBC Breakfast presenter to triumph, the 43-year-old’s closest rival in the all-female 2013 final won the accolade.

The bookies had Clancy at odds of 9-4.

Abbey's husband, footballer Peter Crouch, clapped and smiled as his wife’s name was announced as the reality TV competition’s winner.

After weeks of perfecting her steps, Clancy beat the technically perfect Natalie Gumede and the people’s favourite Susanna Reid.

Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor had been voted off the show just 40 minutes beforehand.

Clancy and her dancing partner Alijaz Skorjanec lifted the trophy to the tune of Abba’s Dancing Queen.
