IT seems that things just get better and better for Ireland’s favourite actress, with the announcement that Amy Huberman has landed a role in a new US comedy show.
Amy, who spent time in LA prior to the Oscars, made the announcement on her Twitter page by retweeting a link to Dealine Hollywood website which broke the story.
It is believed the NBC pilot project called Animal Kingdom will begin filming in the summer. It centres around the character Dr George Coleman (played by Justin Kirk), a vet who has more time for animals than their owners. His life becomes more complicated when his ex girlfriend, the intelligent and beautiful Dorothy, played by Huberman, is appointed his boss at the animal hospital. According to the deadline website, Huberman landed the role after her first ever US audition.
Huberman’s twitter account was was inundated with messages following thenews, including one from Dustin the Turkey who said: ‘Hey congrats @amyhuberman I hear you're doing an American pilot! Which airline? Dricco so open minded, fair play to him.’ Huberman replied that his comment made her snort her tea out.
However there could be a conflict of schedules for Huberman if the pilot gets commissioned for a series, as she is due in London shortly to start filming series two of Threesome, the Comedy Central comedy which saw her break the UK market last year If a series is commissioned, she will have to spend more time in Hollywood. Either way looks like Amy is going to be using a lot of airmiles in the coming months.
