IT’S been the storyline that has had Fair City viewers hooked – but it looks like it will all end in tears for Carol as Louis confesses to an affair with ex-wife Ingrid on their wedding day.
Ingrid starts drinking heavily on the morning of the wedding, deciding to go to the wedding intent on ruining it.
Bob also has ideas about stopping the wedding and getting his much sought after revenge on Louis – however has a change of heart after seeing Carol wearing an antique bracelet he gave her down the aisle.
However just when Louie and Carol are in the middle of saying their vows when Louie stops and suddenly confesses to Carol he slept with Ingrid.
"Ingrid is still in love with Louie and she tried her best to break up his relationship with Carol." said Vivienne Connolly who plays Ingrid - "But Louie genuinely loves Carol and he doesn't want to lose her"
Aisling O’Neill who plays Carol said: "Carol is devastated when Louie finally reveals that he slept with Ingird."
"She knew something was going on but was so desperate for this marriage and family that she ignored it. Will she forgive Louie? Especially after he humiliated her in front of the community? I hope she doesn't!"
