Victoria Marsh (13) suffers from Downs syndrome and a rare form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma.
Marsh had tickets to Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ concert in Philadelphia, but was unable to attend because she was undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Instead she gave her sisters the tickets.
The local police force Dover, Delaware Police rallied an online campaign using #SwiftAWish and #TeamVictoria to gain Swift’s attention. The campaign soon went viral on social media with over one and a half million views of the video that detailed Marsh’s life.
On the night of the concert, doctors cleared the teenager to leave hospital for eight hours to visit Swift backstage. Marsh, who had her lower left leg amputated last February wasn’t able to stay for the performance but her mother told reporters that meeting Taylor "meant the world to her... (she had) a huge smile on her face".
