A caller to 2fm’s Louise McSharry, Michael, told the presenter how he misses his cat Shadow dearly.

So far the boys have raised $800 to bring “the best cats in the world” over to Ireland, on gofundme.com.

He told Louise McSharry: “The problem is, our two nice cats, the price to ship them over, it’s too high.”

“My cat is named Shadow and my brother’s cat is named Robin

“They are the best cats in the world. They will purr and they will give you a head butt every time you come in the door or go near them.”

“We never want to leave them behind.”

Michael says he’s very happy to be living in Ireland, but he wants his cats to see the country too.

“We’re trying to raise money to bring them over so that they can see Ireland.”

“We have moved from America. We like it in Ireland a lot.”

“It is very nice here. It’s a really good place to be.”
