An alleged Russian soldier has posted several photographs of himself that were geo-tagged by Instagram as having been posted from inside Ukranian borders.
Despite Russia's insistence that they are not "directly involved" in the ongoing conflict in the Ukraine, Sanya Sotkin(24) posted several images to his Instagram which appeared to show him in active duty within rebel-controlled areas inside Ukranian borders.
The photos, posted in July, show Sotkin in uniform and with other soldiers, camping and engaging in what appear to be training techniques.
On July 7th, he posted an image with the caption "I still don't understand what we're doing here... so we're continuing to go slightly crazy, listen to #SwedishHouseMafia and wait for new news."
Other images were hashtagged with tags like #Military #army and #summer.
The images have gained him over 3,000 followers but have attracted a lot of negative feedback, with one user even calling the Russian troops "pathetic animals".
Caption: "32 degrees on the thermometer, and I sit to play the whole day in tablet. #army #military #idleness #work"
