Ireland is certainly experiencing a rare spot of summer weather at the moment, and the toasty temperatures are even visible from space.
The latest astronaut to man the International Space Station, first-time astronaut Reid Wiseman, has posted a snapshot of the Emerald Isle seen from space this evening.
“Hello Ireland, been waiting to see you,” he captioned the photo.
Ireland’s current fine weather is visible in the snap, with only a few clouds covering the south-west of the country.

“It is still impossible to wrap my head around the view. Just saw every place I’ve ever lived in 10 minutes,” Wiseman added.
Wiseman is currently living on the ISS and is travelling in low earth orbit, documenting his journey on social media network Twitter.
He is one of six men living aboard the station, a $100 billion research laboratory that flies about 418 km above Earth.
Previous tweeting astronauts include two-time shuttle veteran and Hubble Space Telescope repairman Mike Massimino (1.3 million followers online) and former station commander Chris Hadfield of Canada, who has nearly 1.1 million followers on Twitter.
