New video game starring Pope Francis now available for download

It may not be Mario Brothers or Donkey Kong, but a new video-game starring the one and only Pope Francis is now available for download on the Google app store.

Named "The Pontiff, No Return" the game was launched by The Irish Catholic, with the aim of engaging younger with the Pope's agenda on climate change, which he highlighted during his recent trip to Washington DC.

In the game the Pontiff battles environmental leaks, strives to protect animals and shoots holy water at 'devils' and anything that isn't 'pure'.

He is depicted travelling in his iconic pope-mobile, dodging dangerous obstacles with the help of cherubs who come to his aid.

Makers have warned that the game is very difficult to complete.

The game was developed by Nebula Ltd, a gaming development company based in Ireland and Grace Communications, which runs The Irish Catholic newspaper.
