A young Ohio couple have been arrested after foolishly posing for pictures on Facebook, flaunting the thousands of dollars they stole from a bank.

John Mogan (28) and Ashley Duboe (24) were charged with raiding a bank in Ashville, Ohio.

Mogan is alleged to have walked into a bank, clad in a black hoodie covering his distinctive facial tattoos, and handed the teller a note instructing him to hand over cash.

The teller then handed him an undisclosed sum of money, whereupon he left the building.

A week later clueless Mogan posted photos to his Facebook page with a huge wad of cash wedged in his mouth.

One of his relatives even commented on the photos asking him to "hook a brother up".

Numerous other pictures were posted showing the stolen cash.

The police received tip offs which eventually lead them to Mogan and a background search showed that he had recently been released from prison after another bank robbery in 2010.

Morgan and Duboe were arrested and charged with robbery and theft.

Mogan faces at least four years in prison.

Duboe’s role in the robbery was not disclosed by police.
