An exceptionally large stork carried one special baby to her parents in Boston this week.
Busting the scales at 14.5 pounds, Carisa Rusack was born by Cesarean section to her parents Caroline and Bryan.
Her big sister weighed a substantial 10.5 pounds so a large baby was expected by the Massachusetts couple – but perhaps not quite this big.
Carisa, at 22 inches long, is reportedly the biggest infant to be delivered at Massachusetts General Hospital in 12 years.
According to the Irish Pharmacy website, Eirpharm, a healthy 6 month baby should weigh between 12.5lbs - 19.4lbs.
Healthy newborns, however, fall on the scales between 5.5lbs and 9.5lbs.
