CCTV captures miraculous moment man catches baby from second-storey window
CCTV footage has captured the moment a man has successfully caught a baby that fell from a second storey window in a south China province.
The baby was spotted on a window ledge by a neighbour and a group of people rushed to rescue the one-year-old.
It is believed the baby went looking for his mother and climbed onto the windowsill during the heavy thunderstorm.
"Some people put down cardboard to avoid serious injuries to the baby if I fail to catch him," the man who made the dramatic catch, Mr Li, said.
"I didn’t think too much at the time. I was just afraid of failing to catch him.
"It was nothing but human instinct to do so."
Residents of Xiaolan Town in the Zhongshan City of Guangdong Province also put a sofa on the ground to see if it would catch the child.
