11 Celebrities completing the Ice Bucket Challenge

Published 19/08/2014 | 12:59

Celebrities have taken to the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Challenge (ALS in America) like ducks to water - excuse the pun.

Bill Gates

Nominated by Mark Zuckerberg, of course Bill Gates was going to do it better than everyone else. He got over 7m views on YouTube for his trouble. Hashtag nailed it!

Christiano Ronaldo

Not exactly the same quality as Bill Gates' masterpiece, Ronaldo's effort looks like it was filmed on a Nokia 3310.

Luckily, it's not about the video quality as much as people getting ice-cold water dumped over them, and Ronaldo gave us that in spades (with lots of attitude and not very much clothing).

Caroline Wozniaki

Showing her sense of humour, Caroline Wozniaki hit the headlines for something (thankfully) not related to a certain golfer. She took that bucket of ice with gusto.

Lady Gaga

Looking very different to how we last saw her, Lady Gag executed the Ice Bucket Challenge with exactly the kind of attitude we expected from pop's most fearless diva.

Iggy Azalea

The Australian rapper completed the challenge looking 'Fancy' in an orange bikini. (We'll get our coats)

Stephen Gerrard

The footballer forgot to nominate someone else during his turn at the challenge.

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting

The lovely leading lady of hit sitcom 'The Big Bang Theory' posted this video to her Instagram account.

John Terry

Niall Horan

The 'Irish one in One Direction' brought the challenge to Irish shores with this effort.

Ashley Cole and Didier Drogba

This trend seems to have proved really popular with footballers!

Justin Timberlake

He's bringing Icy back.

If you want to join the ranks and complete the challenge for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA), you can do so by texting MND to 50300 to donate €2.
