'They're so cute' - One Direction win Oprah's approval
International boy band One Direction joined forces with one of the most powerful women in the world yesterday.
The boys of One Direction met Oprah Winfrey backstage at the Jonathan Ross show.
And Oprah turned to Twitter to share her excitement at meeting the pop idols, and she called them “cute”.
"Backstage at @jonathanrossshow London with @onedirection #cuteboys," she said.
The TV queen posed behind Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Harry Styles, who are all smiles and dressed to impress.
The band, which has only been together three years, now has a combined estimated wealth of almost €40million.
And their fame is about to soar even higher, having earned a stamp of approval from Oprah.
Oprah is the richest African-American of the 20th century and has also been named the greatest black philanthropist in American history. The One Direction boys turned on their charm for the TV star.
They also performed and hosted a segment for BBC's Children in Need TV charity event yesterday, which raises money for disadvantaged children in the U.K.
The boybanders performed "Best Song Ever" and they filmed some promos from the London set of the popular soap EastEnders.
"Everyone watch @BBCCiN tonight ! It's gona be a great show!" Niall Horan tweeted. "And for a great cause."
One Direction have already topped the US and UK single, album and even best-selling book charts.
