Pop star Ronan Keating will make his West End debut later this year when he takes to the stage in award winning musical 'Once'.
Boyzone singer Keating has been offered theatre work in the past but said it was impossible to say no to 'Skyfall' and 'Once' producer Barbara Broccoli.
Keating was "bowled over" when he first saw the stage show describing the production as a "modern day masterpiece." He said: "I knew it would be perfect – this was my home town, my people, and the place where I began my own music career.
"But as exciting as that is, it's scary, too. I've never performed on the West End, and this is a huge challenge and commitment."
Based on the 2006 film directed by John Carney and starring Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, 'Once' was successfully transferred to the Broadway stage in 2012, where it won eight Tony awards.
