Like, totally... Hit film 'Clueless' is set for the stage as a musical

Take a second to pause and, like, totally appreciate this news – there’s going to be a ‘Clueless’ musical.
Director Amy Hecklering has confirmed that, two decades after the cult hit screened in cinemas, ‘Clueless’ is set for the stage.
Hecklering also revealed details about the highly anticipated Broadway adaptation.
“I’ve written the, what they call the book and it’s a jukebox musical,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
She also confirmed that famed director Kristin Hanggi is, like, totally set to come on board.
Dodger Theatricals have been signed up as producers, with successful hits like ‘Jersey Boys’ and ‘Into The Woods’ already on their CV.
But, despite dishing some of the details, Hecklering is keeping quiet on any potential songs.
She also admitted she believes casting will be her ‘main problem’.
The 1995 film became a timeless classic, with teenagers still grabbing the popcorn to follow the story of ditzy teen Cher and her Beverly Hills friends. The film, said to be loosely based on Jane Austen’s 1815 novel ‘Emma’, had a spin-off TV show and a series of books.
It also coined some of the famous ‘Clueless’ catchphrases, ‘Like, totally’, ‘As if…’ and “He does dress better than I do, what would I bring to the relationship?”
