Independent.ie meets the stars of Avenue Q

Published 07/08/2014 | 18:33

It's been constantly flouted as Sesame Street for adults and it's toured all around the world, but what is life really like for the characters living between Avenues P and R.

The award-winning Avenue Q is currently being performed at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre and is set to end on Saturday. Two of the stars of the show met with Independent.ie to talk about visiting Ireland, dealing with fame and life in the 'outer-outer borough' of New York.

Rod and Nicky are best friends living together, but they couldn't be more different. Rod is a rather uptight closeted homosexual Republican investment banker, while his counterpart Nicky is a happy-go-lucky slacker.

Tickets for the show can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the Bord Gais Box Office.
