Bryan Murray, Rob Murphy, Michelle McGrath, Alan Hughes and Nadia Forde starred in the Jack and The Beanstalk panto at the Tivoli last year.

This year's Tivoli Theatre panto is 'Cinderella' and producers are searching for a new star to play the title role.

The Cheerios panto opens on December 10 with regular shows throughout the festive season, finishing up on January 11.

Potential Cinderellas can attend open auditions at the Tivoli Theatre, Francis St, Dublin 2 on Wednesday August 20 from 11am.

Co-producer Alan Hughes, who also plays Sammy Sausages, said, ‘I'm really excited about the search for Cinderella and hope we find a new star to take on this role.

"It's a great opportunity for an up and coming talent to star alongside the hugely talented cast of well known faces.’

Last year's Tivoli panto, Jack and the Beanstalk, starred Sean Carey and model Michele McGrath as Jack and Jill and model turned singer Nadia Forde as the Fairy.

Applicants must be 17 years or over, able to sing, dance and act, and entertain children.  On the day, they must have two songs prepared - an upbeat modern song and a "princess style ballad".  The role involves a two week rehearsal schedule prior to opening night.
