2 The Circus Animals' Desertion sounds like a wonderfully unhinged event tonight in Dublin's Freemasons' Hall. Described as a banquet, costumed ball with The Golden Dawn Aria and an organ recital, this is presented by Irish minstrel Larry Beau as a response to Yeats' poem The Circus Animals' Desertion. yeats2015.com.

3 One of our best jazz festivals kicks off next Friday and it has packed in quite the line-up for its 16th outing. Bray Jazz Festival has nabbed acclaimed American trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire as one of its headliners.
