‘The Voice of Ireland’ returns tonight as Dolores O’Riordan makes debut as new judge

NO REPRO FEE Recording for series three of the Voice of Ireland kicked off this weekend in Dublin's Helix Theatre. Over 100 hopefuls performed for the coaches in the Blind Auditions stages of the singing competition. Rte’s smash-hit show, The Voice of Ireland, returns to TV tonight with former Cranberries star Dolores O’Riordan joining Jamelia, Kian Egan and Bressie.

The Zombie singer was recently unveiled as a replacement judge for Sharon Corr as a judge and mentor on the popular show.

Girls Allowed star Sarah Harding is also reportedly set to star on The Voice of Ireland as a mentor.

The 31-year-old girl band star is tipped to join Bressie as his mentor for the live shows.

Tonight’s contestants will audition, battle against each other, and maybe take to the stage for a chance to win a record contract at Universal.

Last year’s runner-up Kelly McDonagh-Mongan wasn’t so lucky after her 15 minutes of fame.

The 20-year-old recently revealed she still lives in a caravan and does not have the money to buy musical equipment to work professionally.
