Departures, breakdowns, and surprising news from soap opera land.

EastEnders: Richard 'Vince' Blackwood's back, and he's in the mood for stirring Ronnie  - which is good news for her, considering she's aware her sister's been carrying on with her husband. It's not so great news for Vince's wife, Kim. Kat gets sent some unsettling information. The good news is that herself and Alfie are going to leave the square to visit Ireland, which will be aired on BBC1 sometime in the near future. Let's hope it's better than the last time EastEnders came to Ireland. None of us appeared sober.

Coronation Street: Gail and Michael return from their honeymoon to find out that they are about to become grandparents - courtesy of Erica. That's some of the more positive nuggets this week, given that the newly-weds also find out that Sarah is now hooking up with Callum, and David has gone on the run with Lily and Max. There's also much strife between Sean and Billy's burgeoning relationship thanks to the third man in their relationship (in this instance, it is the bishop), while Steve goes doolally for dogs.

Emmerdale: Dan announces to Kerry that's he's also leaving with Ali and Ruby to be closer to Sean. One can only assume Kerry hits the bottle come Thursday's episode. In a wild bid to keep James and Chas apart, Emma concocts more lies and nasty tricks, while Doug breaks down.

Fair City: Debbie and Eoghan are only 'delireh' when Katy decides to move home, and not just because their relationship is all but on the rocks. Pete, meanwhile, continues to be torn asunder, trying to be there for both Dolores and Jackie, the latter of which wants to sign herself into a clinic. Dermot and Jo's 'work/life' balance goes to pot, while Shane looks more awkward than normal when Ama happily burbles that him and his 'uncle' Bob look so alike. Oh, and Mondo's back.

Ros na Rún: Relations turn sour between Eoin and Tadhg when the latter makes a derogatory joke about Eimear.
