Tennis stars celebrate Wimbledon at WTA party

Tennis players swapped the court for the red carpet at an annual pre-Wimbledon party to celebrate the start of the tournament.

British star Laura Robson was among the sports stars who glammed up for an evening at London’s Kensington Roof Gardens for the Women’s Tennis Association event.

Robson wore a hot pink off-the-shoulder dress and looked happy to be gearing up for one of the biggest events on the sporting calendar.

She was joined by Victoria Azarenka who wore a pale blue lace dress, whilst Petra Kvitova went for a monochrome look.

Jelena Jankovic dressed up in a frilly mint-green mini-dress and posed with Blue singer Simon Webbe as the party got under way.

Shelby Rogers and Barbora Krejcikova were also among the guests looking forward to Wimbledon.

Olga Savchuk, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Garbine Muguruza, Alize Cornet and Donna Vekic were in attendance, and the celebrity guest list included Donna Air and Sam Branson.

Wimbledon runs from July 3-16 this year.
