Irish comedian Dylan Moran has finally cracked the code behind Donald Trump's smile.
Moran, best known for playing hard-smoking, hard-drinking, bookshop owner Bernard Black on Channel 4's sitcom Black Books is currently in the US on tour.
Taking a break from the comedy circuit, he joined chatshow host Conan O'Brien on the couch on Friday night and discussed the current US presidential election.
"We hear that all of Europe is looking at our presidential election and they're stunned by what's going on," Conan said.
Dylan replied: "There are people who don't move from the television screen. Their mouths are hanging open, they haven't spoken in months. They want it to be over. People want to vote in Europe."
"You have to look for the good in everybody. I'll look at Hilary Clinton, and I can't say I'm a huge admirer of Hilary Clinton as an entity... but you look for the good. She's kind of remote and also chilly so she's energy efficient."
Speaking of the business-mogul-turned-republican-presidential-hopeful Trump, the 44-year-old comedian said he struggled to find something positive to say.
"And then you look at [Trump] and think 'there's got to be something' but he really has nothing to say and he says everything twice. You actually feel unburdened at the end because he actually makes less sense of nothing.
"He smiles, he's a human being. I've been trying to work out what this smile means, 'what does it say?'. People have a bit of meaning in their expressions. And I've worked it out. It's the exact smile that someone has if they'd just told you they sh*t in the glovebox of your car.
"So... he's got that."
