But the journey still continues for the outspoken presenter and his counterparts Richard Hammond and James May as they reunite for their new live tour.
The recently released trailer for 'Clarkson, Hammond and May Live' show that the mayhem Top Gear fans have come to know and love is still present and accounted for.
The brand new teaser clips include falling pianos and more super cars than ever before for Clarkson's 'final turn of the wheel'.
Offering witty one-liners, heated arguments and a lot of fast driving, the tour is due to kick off later this month.
Clarkson was sacked for punching Irish-born producer Oisin Tymon, and Hammond and May have indicated that they will not continue the Top Gear show without him.
