C'mere, I can't quite fathom the fact that we're still discussing this either, but - sure, lookit - here we are. Two weeks ago, I misled you all. It wasn't deliberate; we'd been led to believe that Ciarán's machinations would be common knowledge and Katy would be reunited with her family (much like we'd all been given to believe two weeks prior to that).

Now - cross my heart and hope to die a horribly tedious death - I can ABSOLUTELY confirm that this is the week where Katy  gets reunited with her family...  Well, more of her family at least.

Anyway, it's Week 3 of The Great Escape, and Emmet has managed to secretly unleash his limbs from Ciarán's shackles, but will his sister back him up when he tries to attack his attacker? Or will the true extent of Katy's Stockholm syndrome become glaringly apparent? Do we still care? Yes, we owe it to ourselves to see this through to the bitter end, having invested the guts of 100 viewing hours over the last year.

With that in mind: Emmet convinces Ciarán to hulk off to retrieve his laptop, under the illusion that he may find out additional information about his missing sister, Tessa. Once alone, the wily O'Brien frees himself and urges Katy to abscond with him. However, she refuses. She insists they can't leave and locks Emmet back in the bedroom.

While this is ongoing - complete with kerfuffles, backstabbings and much spittle - Eoghan and Debbie make their way to Ciarán's workshop in the hope of finding Katy and Emmet. They are devastated when they survey where their daughter has been held captive. With Ciarán missing, the O'Briens barge through Farrah's door, pushing her for information on her fella's whereabouts. Still reeling from the miscarriage, Farrah is now faced with this new nightmare. On top of that, it looks like she could be a suspect.

SoapBox is privy to what happens over the coming week and we can confirm that Katy will come face to face with her family... but will it be fleeting? And where exactly do her loyalties lie at this point? When Katy is finally found alone, is Ciarán dead or alive? Does anyone still care? 'Course we do - 100 hours, people, 100 hours...
