Simon Cowell took time at the opening of X Factor to send his condolences to the people of Paris and inform viewers that two song choices had been changed following Friday night's terror attack.
Lauren Murray and Monica Michael's songs were changed at the last minute as their original song choices would have been highly insensitive given the circumstances.
The third week of live shows is themed Movie Night with contestants singing songs from major Hollywood films.
Lauren had been scheduled to sing Licence to Kill while Monica had been lined up to sing Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down).
Monica instead sang What is Love and Lauren sang One More Time, with both contestants getting positive comments from all four judges for their powerful performances.
The other contestants sang their original songs as follows:
Che Chesterman: When a Man Loves a Woman
Mason Noise: Men in Black
Louisa Johnson: Everybody's Free
Anton Stephans: I Have Nothing
Max Stone: Secret Garden
Reggie 'N' Bollie: Who Let The Dogs Out
4th Impact: Work It Out
