An Australian YouTuber used some clever editing to imagine Donald Trump as an evil ruler in Westeros on HBO's Game of Thrones.

Huw Parkinson spliced Trump's stump speeches into the medieval fantasy world of Game of Thrones. He calls the resulting video "Winter is Trumping," and as you'll see, Trump would be right at home ruling over Westeros.

The mash-up begins with Trump turning away lead character Daenerys Targaryen, played by British actress Emilia Clarke, and her followers from the fictional city of Qarth.

"We have a tremendous problem and we can't be the stupid country any more," he tells the Mother of Dragons, when she pleads for him to open his kingdom's gates to allow her people in.

The real-life quote came from a Republican debate in January when Mr Trump was asked about Mexican and Muslim migrants entering the United States.

Parkinson's painstaking editing work makes Donald's inclusion about as natural as it could be and his comments are easily adapted into a TV series about the political dynamics of authoritarian regimes.

In the mash-up, Trump is, naturally, proud of the Wall which is guarded by the men of the Night's Watch to protect the kingdom against the "wildlings" who live on the other side of the wall.

"We have no border, we have no control. People are flooding across - we need to build a wall and it has to be built quickly," a recycled recording of Mr Trump reads.

"The greatest builder is me and I will build the greatest wall you have ever seen."
