Kildare Pastimes Choir is one of the highlights of the week for Tommy McCormack from Naas, who is living with dementia.

Every Tuesday Tommy’s wife Annette drops him to McAuley Place in Naas where he joins the choir under musical director Sharon Murphy.

This clip, which will be aired on RTE’s Keeping Ireland Alive: The health service in a day tonight, shows how Tommy joins the choir for a rendition of “What a wonderful world”.

Keeping Ireland Alive: The health service in a day will air tonight on RTÉ One at 9.35pm.
