WATCH: Laurence Kinlan wants a 'yes' vote in marriage equality referendum

Love/Hate's Elmo, more commonly known as Laurence Kinlan has lent his voice to the 'yes' campaign in a new video ahead of the upcoming marriage equality referendum.

Kinlan joins a host of famous faces who have publicly declared their support for a yes vote in the referendum which takes place on May 22.

Roddy Doyle wrote a short story supporting a yes vote, while Sir Ian McKellen took to social media to encourage the same, The Nualas recorded a song,  and Snow Patrol lent their hit 'Just Say Yes' to the yes campaign. Aidan Gillen also recorded a video outlining why he will vote yes.

Scott De Buitléir, who presented LGBT show Cosmo on RTE, decided to leave the broadcaster over its policy regarding the Marriage Equality Referendum.
