WATCH: Jimmy Kimmel challenges fans to pull the perfect pint of Guinness and the results are a little flat
In honour of St Patrick's Day, Jimmy Kimmel asked three fans to compete in a Guinness pouring contest in an Irish pub.
The chatshow host sent the trio to Rock and Reilly's Irish Bar in West Hollywood to take up the challenge of pouring the perfect pint of Guinness.
They got to work after a brief tutorial from the barman and the results were less than impressive, proving that perfecting the perfect pint takes practice.
Kimmel was schooled in the art of Guinness-pouring earlier in the week.
He was joined by his sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez, who was dressed in a green leprechaun suit, to receive instruction on how to pull the perfect 'pint of black'.
The lesson was provided by Guinness Brewery Ambassador, Eoghain Clavin, who advised the stars that "Guinness is all about patience".
The novices take their turn trying to perfect the perfect pour, despite making it clear that they just really want to drink the beer, and compete to see whose attempt was the best.
The results are pretty good.
