Eamon Dunphy breaks down in a new TV show as he tells Ivan Yates of his one wish for 2016.
'Ivan's Celebrity Pub Crawl' on TV3 sees presenter Ivan Yates meeting famous faces including Dunphy, Francis Brennan, Pat Rabbitte and Katie Walsh among others at various Dublin pubs to have a drink and review the year.
Yates interviews Dunphy and Eleanor McAvoy together at the Vintage Cocktail Club in Temple Bar.
As he asks them what their one wish for 2016 would be, a clearly emotional Dunphy takes a moment to compose himself before answering.
"I'd like the homeless people to be housed," he said.
"I'd like them to be housed because it's possible, if we put our minds to it, that all the people who suffer this year at this time were given a break."
McAvoy responds, "Jesus, I think the only wish I can wish for is that Eamon's wish comes true."
Ivan first chats to jockey Katie Walsh about turning pro and hotelier Francis Brennan about his asexuality at The Porter House in Dublin's city centre.
He then heads to McDaids for an interview with Labour leader Pat Rabbitte and Renua's Lucinda Creighton, who predicts a three-way coalition is around the corner and admits she does not want a long career in politics.
Rabbitte is sarcastic when it comes to his views on Joan Burton.
At The Stags Head former Ireland soccer manager Brian Kerr and rugby star Stephen Ferris chat Trapattoni and injury and, finally, Ivan talks to Dunphy and McAvoy.
Ivan's Celebrity Pub Crawl airs Tuesday December 22 at 9pm on TV3.
