Vicky Pattison is reportedly set to return to the jungle as a presenter.
This time round the 2015 queen of the jungle won't have to deal with creepy-crawlies, just celebrities, as Vicky is said to have landed her dream job presenting jungle spin-off I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Now!.
Vicky has been rumoured to be the top pick to replace Laura Whitmore, who's currently competing on Strictly Come Dancing, for several months. And according to editors at The Sun newspaper, she has officially been snapped up - with the deal in the process of being finalised.
“Vicky made no secret of the fact that she would love to replace Laura. But while she was always the front-runner, ITV took their time with the decision," a source told the publication. “It’s only very recently that they have said they want her. Now all that remains is the formality of signing the contract. Vicky is beyond excited and can’t wait to get started.”
Laura presented the show alongside former EastEnders actor and King of the Jungle Joe Swash, and comic David Morgan. Swash is expected to return to the show, which presents all the behind the scenes happenings in the jungle camp.
Vicky was tipped to be the frontrunner for the gig back in April (16), beating out former jungle campmate Ferne McCann to join the show.
“Vicky would love to do the show,” an insider close to the reality star told RadioTimes.com. “It would be a dream.”
The news comes after it was announced that Vicky was moving on from Loose Women after nine months.
The 28-year-old ex Geordie Shore star joined the panel of the ITV lunchtime show in January (16), but only became a regular panellist three months ago.
A report in The Sun claimed Vicky had been dropped from the programme after bosses became concerned her nights out had been negatively affecting her Loose Women appearances.
However, a spokesperson for Vicky denied the star's partying was to blame for her being dropped from the programme, telling Cover Media: "Vicky was only ever contracted to Loose Women until the end of August (16). She has some hugely exciting projects coming up, which have made it impossible for her to carry on as a panellist for now. Vicky loved her time on the show and is hugely grateful for the opportunity."
