Two brand new Dragons were unveiled at today's launch of the new series of the hit RTE show.
Entrepreneurs Alison Cowzer of East Coast Bakehouse and Limerick native Eleanor McEvoy, CEO of Budget Energy Ltd, will be breathing new fire into the Dragons Den panel alongside Gavin Duffy, Barry O'Sullivan and Eamonn Quinn.
Alison is co-founder and Marketing/Innovation Director of the biscuit business and is also the co-founder and Managing Director of the Company of Food.
As well as her current role Eleanor, meanwhile, previously set up and sold two multi-million euro businesses.
Back after a two-year hiatus, this year's show will see the Dragons investing a massive €930,000 of their own money into budding Irish businesses.
And female entrepreneurs will be the big winners in this year's programme with the highest number entering the Den in the show's seven-year history.
Attendees at the show's launch at The Residence on Stephen's Green were given a sneak peak of the new series.
Among the guests was Wexford businesswoman Niamh Hogan (39) who runs natural beauty range Holos Skincare.
ShinAwil producer Larry Bass said they wanted to reflect the reality of women in business with the addition of two new female Dragons.
RTE's Ray McCarthy said the two ladies will "bring fresh eyes to the search for new ideas and emerging entrepreneurs."
Dragons’ Den will be broadcast for eight weeks from Sunday 17th April until Sunday 5th June 2016.
