These pictures show a dead body lying on the ground in a shocking storyline from the Dublin-based soap, which is due to air in November this year.

Filming in St Teresa’s gardens in Dublin, the scene is the result of a robbery which goes terribly wrong.

This picture shows Taxi driver Victor – played by Kwasie Boyce – and the victim, Dooley – played by Damien Burke.

Taxi driver Victor is covered in blood spatter while Dooley lies dead on the ground, covered in a red sheet as medical professionals and the gardai from Red Rock station attend      the scene.

Red Rock will finish up for the summer on Thursday, June 4, with a jaw-dropping finale, but fans need not worry – it returns in September for a brand new season.

Meanwhile, in tonight’s episode, which airs at the later time of 10pm, we will see Katie Kiely dealing with her unplanned pregnancy.

She is being pulled in all directions by her ex David Hennessy and her parents who want her to have the baby.

But Katie is adamant that she is not going through with the pregnancy.

Next week’s finale will see Katie preparing to go to Manchester for an abortion.

Patricia Hennessey puts her son David under strict instruction to make sure that Katie gets her flight and terminates the pregnancy.

TV3's Red Rock: 'We don't want to feel like a show created in 1985'

As Katie arrives at the airport, her parents Bridget and Vincent make their own desperate final pleas with her to keep the baby, but what will she do?

The dramatic soap has gripped viewers since it aired at the start of the year and sources at TV3 are saying it’s been a great success for them.

Television chiefs are delighted as the soap has reached more than 2.3 million viewers across TV3, TV3+1 and 3e since its launch in January.

I'm far too sensitive to be a real-life cop, says Red Rock star Jane McGrath

“We’re going to leave the viewers wanting more with a brilliant cliffhanger in the last episode in June and then we’ll be back with really strong episodes in September,” an insider told the Herald.

“Red Rock has been doing brilliantly and fans of the show are calling out for more episodes.

“In the ‘Netflix era’ we feel the figures show that people are going out of their way to watch the show on the 3 Player. We’re really happy with how it’s going,” the source added.

Red Rock, starring Jane McGrath (pictured) airs Wednesday and Thursdays at 8.30pm on TV3.
