TV3 Xpose presenter Aisling O'Loughlin has revealed that she is taking a month off from the station to focus on her family life.
The 37-year-old presenter also said she will use the time off to reflect on her career goals.
"You can burn yourself out," the mum-of-two admitted.
Having juggled her high powered job and her family life all year, the Clare born host will take four weeks off in August.
"It's intense," she confessed. "The whole motherhood and working thing. People are always like, 'Can you balance it?' Well the answer is, 'No, I cannot balance it.' I don't balance it well at all," she told The Irish Daily Mail.
"I'm taking unpaid time off," she revealed. "Using my parental leave, and I'm lucky the company offers that. I've got really flexible bosses who are great and look after me," she added.
Aisling was originally intending to leave Xposé to host a new programme titled 'Life' alongside Sybil Mulcahy and Michael Ryan.
However, it appears that the show has been scrapped by TV3.
"I'm hoping to sit still long enough to think about what I want to do next," Aisling said. "Xposé is a great show and it suits me as a mom in that the hours are flexible."
