Irish brothers Sean and Conor Price have made it through a brutal bootcamp on The X Factor.

Sean (17) and Conor (15) from Blessington, Co Wicklow blew the judges away for their first audition which aired two weeks ago.

However, they had a tougher time at bootcamp and had to sing twice.

Having made it through the first stage which saw them compete with four other acts on stage they then had to sing in front of the judges and a 4000 strong crowd.

They initially sang Beggin by Madcon but the judges were unimpressed, particularly Simon Cowell.

“This was my least favourite performance of yours.  I didn’t like the song, I didn’t like the way you had to push your vocal so much on it,” he said.

He asked why they chose the song and they said they thought it would be upbeat and the crowd would enjoy it.

“Your talent is all you have to rely on,” replied Simon.

They were asked to sing again and chose Sing by Ed Sheeran.  The judges were more impressed but felt the lads were nervous.

When they conferred Louis said he loved them and Nicole added, “They have so much fire in their bellies.”

However, Simon added, “When they start getting nervous they get faster and faster and more manic.”

Sharon agreed that they were very nervous.

However, Nicole defended them and said, “There’s something really raw about them.”

She turned to the boys and said, “This is really hard for us because Simon’s right, this is not your best audition for us.  The nerves took over.  We always saw a lot of potential in you and we always liked you from the beginning so I’m afraid you’re going to have to go to the Six Chair Challenge.”

At the siblings’ first audition, which aired two weeks ago, Simon declared their take on the Jimi Hendrix classic All Along The Watchtower with Conor singing and Sean rapping and playing guitar, “one of the best auditions we’ve had”.

Nicole said they gave her "goosebumps on my goosebumps".
