This could be great news for fans of True Detective
Season one, of course
Fans of the first season of True Detective could be in for a treat as Matthew McConaughey reveals he's interested in reprising his character.
The third season of True Detective may not be finalised yet but like most of us, McConaughey misses his season of the hit HBO drama.
During an interview on Wednesday episode of The Rich Eisen Show, the actor was asked if he would be interested in returning to the series that bagged him an Emmy nomination.
"Yeah, I would," the Texan actor replied.
He added: "I miss Rust Cohle, man. I miss watching him on Sunday nights."
McConaughey said that he and True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto have actually discussed the possibility of his return, although McConaughey stipulates: "It would have to be the right context, the right way."
The actor won rave reviews for his performance as the eccentric Cohle in the first season of the HBO series.
The first season was a massive hit but the second season failed to impress fans, despite featuring an all-star cast that included Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughan and Rachel McAdam.
