The Spice Girls 'to launch prime time TV talent show to rival The X Factor'
The newly reunited Spice Girls are reportedly in talks to front their own prime time TV talent show.
Mel B, Ema and Geri Horner have reunited under the new name GEM with a massive Hyde Park gig planned next summer.
And it appears the trio want to dominate the box as well as the stage as The Mirror reports they're in talks to launch their own The X Factor-style show.
The girls are discussing their idea with BBC but haven't signed on with a broadcaster yet.
A source told The Mirror: "It’s early days but Mel B, Emma and Geri are in talks about developing their own show."
They're not the only 90's band to turn their interest to TV talent shows.
Last month BBC announced that it would be launching a Take That talent show fronted by Gary Barlow.
The prime time event is called Let It Shine and will be reminiscent of previous BBC talent contests including I’d Do Anything, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? and Any Dream Will Do, which sought a new stars for Oliver!, the Sound of Music, and Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat respectively.
The programme, hosted by Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc, is scheduled for Saturday nights, where it may go directly up against ITV’s The Voice in 2017.
