Irish Big Brother contestant Jade Martina Lynch has described the Catholic Church as a "cult" and believes Ireland is "quite backward".
Speaking to DigitalSpy ahead of her entry to the Big Brother house, Martina (24) from Dublin revealed that she pretended to be possessed one time when her grandmother was praying.
"I don't believe in the Catholic religion and I just believe it's a bit of a cult, and they were praying and I was laughing because I thought it was funny that they were praying to a God that doesn't exist," she said.
"And she was throwing holy water on me and I was laughing, and she was saying, 'You're possessed now!' I was going, 'Argh!' Running out of the house soaking wet."
Jade-Martina, who will join 13 other housemates in the house tomorrow (Tuesday) night, is a former model with the Andrea Roche Model Agency in Dublin, and appears in three episodes of the current season of Game of Thrones as an extra.
One of the biggest talking points about her prior to her entry to the house is the fact she is polyamorous.
This means she is open to having sexual or romantic relationships with more than one person at a time.
"It's not talked about much, especially in Dublin," she told DigitalSpy.
"In Ireland in general we're quite backward because it's very Catholic - we're kind of back in the day and there's nobody in Ireland that I've met that's polyamorous.
"Polyamory to me is freedom of your soul, freedom to express yourself, sexual freedom. It's all about freedom for me.
"People don't seem to grasp that concept, because I don't want to go and cheat on someone and break the trust and hurt them and give them a negative emotion. I want them to have a positive experience and a positive emotion.
"And if everyone was free and polyamorous and open I genuinely think we'd be a lot happier."
Despite being polyamorous she said she would not have sex in the Big Brother house.
Her views may see her clash with fellow housemate Adjoa Mensah, a 22-year-old model who describes herself as a committed Christian.
The other housemates include blonde IT girl twins Amy and Sally Broadbent (27), a Welsh politician, school drop out Nick Henderson, singer Eileen Daly (51) who thinks she looks like Nicole Kidman, and self-described "stuck up bitch" Sarah Greenwood, a 24-year-old law student.
Chloe Wilburn (25) has described the show as a "gap year for chavs" and has said she's treated like a celebrity in Benidorm.
