Sinitta slams new X Factor judging panel, says 'there will be hell to pay' if she doesn't appear on show
Singer and Simon Cowell confidante Sinitta has slammed this year's new X Factor judging panel.
Show stalwart Louis Walsh left the panel after 11 years, while Simon and Cheryl Fernandez Versini are returning alongside new additions Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw.
And the So Macho songstress, who features as a guest mentor every year at judges houses, said this year's team lack experience in their field, in particular BBC Radio One DJ Grimshaw.
"I do think the panel lacks experience. I do think that Simon and Nick Grimshaw will have a laugh and have fun but I don’t think (Nick) is a mentor,” she told the Daily Star.
"Rita is obviously amazing, doing extremely well but it’s still, you know, only a few years, it’s not even five years in the game.
"Grimmy, no singing experience at all. Cheryl – is it 10 years she’s been singing now?... I think they could have had someone a bit more seasoned."
She added that there would be "hell to pay" if she doesn't feature alongside Cowell at judges houses this year, adding: " I want you to print that."
Meanwhile, the DJ said earlier this week he will only be honest in his approach.
"I thought there'd be a meeting before, and it's just like, see you on Monday at the auditions," he said.
"Like, there's no... they don't tell you who to be. So I think obviously I'll be myself, and I think I'll be nice when I need to be nice.
"I don't think I'd ever be mean to anybody, because I feel like it must be so terrifying and so nerve-wracking to get up on that stage and do an audition.
"So I'd never be mean, but I think I'd be real. I think I'd be honest."
