Selma Blair is the latest addition to the cast of Ryan Murphy's upcoming American Crime Story.

The 42-year-old Legally Blonde actress will play Keeping Up with the Kardashians momager Kris Jenner in the TV series focusing on the events surrounding the trial of OJ Simpson.

Jenner (59) was first thrust into the public eye during the trial of the American footballer for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, for which he was acquitted in 1995.

Jenner was married to Robert Kardashian, his lawyer, but she was also close friends with Nicole.

Also joining the cast is Fast and Furious star Jordana Brewster (35) who will play Denise Brown, sister of Nicole.

American Crime Story: The People V OJ Simpson, from the creator of American Horror Story, will also star David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, Cuba Gooding, Jr as Simpson, and John Travolta as OJ's defence lawyer.

Sarah Paulson, a regular in American Horror Story, will also play a role.

The series is based on the 1996 book The Run of his Life: The People Vs OJ Simpson which was written by New York journalist Jeffrey Toobin.
