Sarah Harding is in no rush to return to the cobbles of Coronation Street.

The Girls Aloud singer (33) recently appeared in four episodes of the hit soap and her performance was universally panned by critics and fans.

After speculation her run on the show could be extended, a spokesperson for ITV said they would be sticking to the agreed four episode arc.

But the beautiful blonde, who has previously appeared in St Trinian's, said she will stick to music from now on and is currently promoting her debut solo album Threads.

"I've already done films and stuff before but I think I prefer that to soap land to be honest," she told the Irish Mirror.

"It's a lot tougher with a quicker turnaround and you don't really get much time to rehearse and you only get a couple of takes and that's it."

And Harding isn't letting the negativity get her down as she is focusing on her music career and also said she would be open to a Girls Aloud reunion.

"I like to DJ and I like to present and do the odd bit of acting but the music is my main thing," she added.
