Russian beauty will be strictly dancing with Daniel
Daniel O'Donnell's virtues look set to land him a raunchy Russian dance partner when he hits our screens in his leotard and sequins for the first time.
The music star will be Ireland's sole representative on this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing' series on BBC One, which airs tonight.
But any attempt to cha cha, tango or jive could make for compelling viewing after it was rumoured that the Donegal crooner was being primed to partner sultry Russian dance queen Kristina Rihanoff (37) - who has sparked major controversy in previous series of the hit show.
The professional ballroom dancer has dated two of her former celebrity dance partners - boxer Joe Calzaghe and rugby player Ben Cohen - with both men reportedly leaving their other halves for Rihanoff. She remains in a relationship with Cohen, but it is understood the BBC wants to keep the public's focus on the dance floor this year with Daniel deemed the "perfect man" to help in those efforts.
The station said it would not comment on the reports they had been paired together to prevent any further trysts by Kristina.
But the two were reportedly spotted training together and are expected to be announced as dance partners tonight.
Daniel has already confirmed he will wear fake tan when required and has spoken of his nerves ahead of the live show. However, he has struck up friendships with fellow contestants including singer Peter Andre and TV chef Ainsley Harriet.
