News anchor Sharon Ni Bheolain will continue her role at the helm of Irish news broadcasting.

The Six One host hinted a potential move from the state broadcaster in 2013, but an RTE spokesperson has clarified that Sharon is key to the future of their news coverage.

It is worth noting that many of our news presenters and reporters take on other projects as well as their current roles.
