Revealed: Dancing with the Stars partner switch-ups - who is dancing with who this weekend
Three new partnerships for RTÉ series Dancing with the Stars have been revealed ahead of this Sunday's show.
This weekend will see the remaining celebs paired with different professional dancers for the first time since the start of the series six weeks ago.
Show favourite Denise McCormack will team up with Kilkenny dancer John Nolan, the previous partner of Teresa Mannion. The couple will perform a Viennese Waltz to Powerful by Major Lazer feat. Ellie Goulding.
And, having battled his way through illness all week, Des Cahill will be leaving partner Karen Byrne and instead teaming up with Ksenia Zsikhotska. The pair will attempt a samba to Quando, Quando, Quando by Engelbert Humperdinck.
Speaking to the Irish Independent before the switch, Cahill admitted he was anxious about the swap. "It's difficult because it's not hard to teach someone like Dayl Cronin, but whoever gets me is going to have their work cut out a bit," he said. "It will certainly be strange not to have Karen teaching me."
Next up, comedian Katherine Lynch will dance a Paso Double with new partner Vitali Kozmin, whilst Dayl Cronin will dance a salsa with new partner Valeria Milova.
Fair City star Aoibhín Garrihy now finds herself dancing with Katherine Lynch's partner Kai Widdrington. They will perform a foxtrot to Big Bad Handsome Man by Imelda May.
RTÉ journalist Teresa Mannion will team up with Ryan McShane to dance to Tutti Frutti by Little Richard, and former Kerry footballer Aidan O’Mahony will take on a samba with Karen Byrne to Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes.
Although they face the pressures of getting to grips with new partners, each of the celebrities are safe from elimination this weekend during the switch, and none of them will be going home.
Dancing with the Stars is on Sunday at 6.30pm on RTÉ One.
