'Phenomenal' - Twitter absolutely loved the Asking For It? documentary last night
Louise O'Neill's Asking For It? documentary debuted on RTE 2 on Tuesday night, and it received major support online.
The documentary, which follows O'Neill's latest book of the same title, examines rape culture in Ireland and the issue of consent, while O'Neill speaks to legal experts, students and victim support groups.
Since the show aired, #AskingForIt has been trending on Twitter, with users from around the country and beyond voicing their praise.
"That's how you make a documentary. Well done," wrote TV presenter Maia Dunphy.
"Great to see all the women on my timeline tweeting about Asking For It, I hope the men are watching it too," said author Louise McSharry.
"Asking For It is a phenomenal documentary. Thanks for opening the eyes of the nation @oneillo. I hope changes come from it," wrote another user.
