Comedian Katherine Lynch, 44, has cited 'old fashioned eating' as the reason behind her weight loss.
Speaking on the Ray D'Arcy show on RTÉ Radio One today, Lynch, revealed that she lost over double the target which was set for her on the first episode of Celebrity Operation Transformation.
Ahead of the first episode of the series, the Leitrim native revealed that over a period of two weeks, she went from 13 stone and five pounds to 12 stone and 10 and a half pounds.
This far exceeded the four pound target that was set.
She said: "Sticking to the plan. It was having your breakfast in the morning.
"It's back to old fashioned eating. There is a small breakfast in the morning of an egg and a slice of toast, then you have a salad for your lunch and a dinner in the evening of meat and two veg.
"What I've learned from it is that we have learned to eat more and it's wrong."
Karl Spain, Brenda Donohue Elaine Crowley and Gerald Kean will join Lynch on the show.
Celebrity Operation Transformation kicks off tomorrow at 9.35pm on RTE One
