TV funnyman Brendan O'Carroll has been caught up in a fake online competition scam.
Thousands of people have entered a Facebook competition appearing to offer the winner a trip to see Mrs Brown's Boys Australian tour.
The 'lucky winner' was offered first class flights plus AUS$50,000 spending money.
People all over Ireland and Britain have been liking and sharing the post since it appeared online this afternoon.
The 'lucky winner' was also offered: "A road trip around Australia in a luxury Motor Home plus a luxury Canon Camera and video camera to snap up some great moment's you will experience on the road![sic]"
Tonight however Brendan's son Danny - who plays Buster in the hit TV series - said the 'competition' is fake.
"We've had calls and text all day about it," said Danny.
He joked: "It (the competition) was so good I was thinking of entering it myself."
A statement on the real Mrs Brown's page said: "Just so you know the page you are on now is the only official page the one in the picture is fake and has no affiliation with us, we don't have a problem with fan pages but when they try to manipulate you guys in to liking & sharing a post for what is completely a fake competition, we're not happy with that!"
