Move over Lionel Messi with your Ballon d'Or win, another topic was even hotter at this year's ceremony.
That topic was Northern Irish actor and Fifa Ballon d'Or awards co-host James Nesbitt's full head of thick, dark hair.
Whilst he looked rather dapper in his tux, it was his hair which set Twitter alight as people questioned its origins.
Nesbitt (50) had filmed the Graham Norton Show last week, sporting thinner, shorter, grey hair.
It's some transformation and viewers speculated that Nesbitt had availed of another hair transplant or a wig/toupe.
The actor has previously spoken about having had two hair transplants.
Why the F*** is James Nesbitt presenting the #BallondOr? Hair transplant sponsorship?— Randy McTache (@Randy_McTache) January 11, 2016
He appeared in a video ad for Hair Restoration Blackrock Clinic two years ago, and said hair loss is a threat to his career.
"I have had two hair transplants and I am very pleased with the results. In fact, I'd go so far as to say they've changed my life," he has said.

Wayne Rooney should ask James Nesbitt where he got his hair done. Bet it didn't cost Jimmy £30k— James (@writtenoff_mufc) January 11, 2016
I know I said I was going to ignore ballon d'or. But it is impossible to ignore James Nesbitt's hair. Made. By. Lego.— James Corrigan (@jcorrigangolf) January 11, 2016
