Big Brother kicked off on Tuesday night with 18 new contestants battling it out to be the winner and among the colourful characters is Irishman Hughie Maughan.
The 21-year-old youth worker hails from Ballymum in Dublin and lives on a traveller site with his parents and younger sister.
Despite his strict traveller upbringing, Hughie insists that he's "the complete opposite of the stereotype".
He's single as he enters the Big Brother house and just recently came out as bi-sexual to his immediate family.
A total of 18 people have entered the show this year and there's not one but two houses this series, in one of the biggest twists of the show.
12 housemates have entered the big house, while the remaining six, dubbed The Others (including Hughie), are in the new house.
In another twist, The Others all have a secret connection with the main housemates and will use their time in the show to test their nerves and create havoc in order to steal a place from the real contestants.
Neither the housemates nor The Others are aware that some of them are already connected to each other. And these connections could make things very interesting.
The live launch took place on Tuesday night and ended with two of the 12 entrants facing eviction from the house.
Model Laura Carter became the first victim of The Others. She chose Lateysha Grace, a23-year-old who is no stranger to reality TV as she was an original cast member on MTV’s The Valleys, to join her for eviction.
