This is the Dublin dancer who has been tipped to take to the ballroom floor in the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars.

Shauna Finn, from Tallaght, joined RTE's Ryan Tubridy and an host of other RTE stars at the recent launch of the station's new season.

Dancing with the Stars, based on the wildly popular Strictly Come Dancing format, has been billed as one of the broadcaster's flagship shows.

Already speculation has been rife as to who will compete and who will present the show, but this is the first glimpse at the talent that may be leading the novice celeb dancers through their paces in the foxtrot.

Dancer Shauna has been one of the lucky few to nab an audition to appear on the show and she certainly looked the part as they busted some moves at the season launch this week.

The long-legged beauty has previously appeared in the June Rodgers Strictly Christmas Show, which was choreographed by Tristan MacManus, who danced his way to stardom as a professional on the BBC's version.

Shauna's experience with MacManus is sure to stand the dancer in good stead when she tries out for the RTE show.

A place as a professional on the show in the UK has proved to be a significant launch pad for a number of the professional dancers who have become famous faces in their own right.

Russian dancer Kristina Rihanoff has built a huge following and was even installed in the Celeb Big Brother House this year.

Meanwhile, Polish dancer Ola Jordan has gone on to become a model.

However, Shauna is no lightweight when it comes to the dancefloor.

Applicants for the show have to have professional ballroom and Latin dancing experience and had to send a CV and show reel to the production company.

Meanwhile, Vogue Williams has been tipped to present the show, having previously competed as a contestant on the Australian series in 2012.

"I absolutely love that show. I don't think I could be a dancer - I've already done it - but it's going to be a great show," she said.

Male presenters linked with the new RTE series include Nicky Byrne and Marty Whelan.
